Teenager stabbed to death over a girl

A teenager in Kayunga District has succumbed to injuries he sustained in a disco hall brawl.

Sharif Bosa, a resident of Kangulumira Trading Centre, Kangulumila Sub-county, was pronounced dead at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital on Friday.

Bbosa was allegedly stabbed twice in the head by a one Mangali during a fight outside a disco hall at Kangulumila Sub-county headquarters on Thursday night.

It is alleged that the two developed a misunderstanding over a girl leading to a fierce fight.

It is alleged that during the fight, Mangali used a knife to stab Bbosa on the head.

Ssezibwa Regional Police spokesperson, Ms Hellen Butoto, said that they have launched a manhunt for Mangali to charge him with murder.

One of the event organisers, Mr Henry Lubanga said the deceased was rushed to hospital about 11 p.m.

“The two were fighting outside the main tent and we were only notified by a watchman at around 11 pm when Bbosa was bleeding profusely,” he said.

Ms Lillian Kwagala, said that the deceased’s cousin, said that Bbosa suffered multiple organ failure.

A report obtained from Jinja Regional Referral Hospital mortuary indicates that the deceased succumbed to internal bleeding and blockage of blood vessels.
