Justus Ssendege is dead
LYANTONDE- Three people were Friday morning shot dead by gunmen at their home in Nakasozi, Kinuuka Sub-county, Lyantonde District.
The assailants raided the home of Justus Ssendege, 28, at about 2 am and shot him dead.
Ssendege’s wife Evelyn,24, who was pregnant and his cousin, Robert Mubiru, 38, were also not spared.
Both Ssendege and Mubiru were boda -boda cyclists in the area.
“The mission of the attackers was to kill because nothing was stolen from the house,” Mr Peter Musinguzi, Ssendege’s neighbour said.
Mr Didas Byaruhanga, the Lyantonde District police commander says investigations into the shooting have started.
“Whoever has information regarding the cause of the shooting should share it with us,” Mr Byaruhanga said.
Bodies have been taken to Lyantonde Mortuary for autopsy.
The incident comes at a time of rising mysterious murders in various parts of the country.
