Two girls killed, bodies dumped in their house

Kampala- Police yesterday recovered bodies of two murdered girls inside a house in Kakeeka behind Buganda Royal Institute in Mengo suburb.

The residents said the girls are believed to be university students but had moved to the area recently and their particulars were only known by their landlord who was not available at the time the bodies were retrieved.

The Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Mr Luke Owoyesigyire, said the bodies were taken to Mulago hospital for a postmortem.

“We haven’t gotten details about these bodies. We are not sure whether they were students or just females living together. We don’t have any document about them. We shall avail details when we get them,” Mr Owoyesigyire said.

Daily Monitor’s visit to Kakeeka to establish details was fruitless as the deceased’s house could not be identified. Various people pointed to different houses as the place where the bodies were picked during the wee hours of Sunday night.

“That middle house is where police picked the bodies. I was not around but my friends have told me the girls were living in that house,” a boda boda rider who identified himself as Ashraf said pointing at a house with a black gate.

Another person pointed at a flat near a washing bay about 300 metres from Buganda Royal Institute. He was however interrupted by three other men who warned him not to speak about things he was not sure of.

Another incident
The twin murder comes a day after Old Kampala Police arrested a man suspected to be an accomplice in his brother’s murder. Mr Owoyesigyire identified the deceased as Yasin Kasoma, 37, a resident of Mulira Zone, Rubaga Division in Kampala.
Police said Kasoma, who was a sales manager with Picfare, lived in same house with his brother, Mr Arthur Kibirige Kabuye. He was attacked by assailants in the presence of his brother but the killers did not hurt the latter.
