UACE results to be released on Thursday

The Minister of Education and Sports, Ms Janet Museveni, and Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) are slated to release the results for the 2019 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) tomorrow.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Mr Patrick Muinda, told Daily Monitor in a telephone interview that UNEB briefed Ms Museveni on Wednesday about the performance of the candidates.

“Usually before exams are released, UNEB has to brief Ms Museveni about how the candidates have performed before the official release. This was done and the ministry is now ready to release the exams to the public,” he said.

Mr Muinda said results will be released on Thursday at 11am by the minister at the office of the President.

This will be the last batch of national examinations of 2019 to be released. The Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) were released last month.

A total of 104,000 students were registered to sit for the 2019 examinations from 1,900 centres.
