UNEB invigilator found dead in her rented room

A woman hired by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) to supervise Senior Four examinations at St. Barnabas Secondary School Karujanga in Kamugagunzi Sub County, Kabale District was Tuesday evening found dead in her rented room.

The police spokesman for Kigezi Region Mr Elly Maate identified the deceased as Sarah Ayebazibwe, a Physics and Math teacher at Jonan Luwum Memorial Secondary school in Kabale District.

Ayebazibwe, a resident of Muyebe parish in Buhara Sub County has also been a second-year student at Bishop Barham University College in Kabale District.

One of the teachers at Jonan Luwum Memorial Secondary school, Rev. Benon Byaruhanga said the deceased who has been renting in Kyonyo trading Centre Kyonyo parish, in Katuna town council worked fully on Monday and did not complain of any illnesses.

Rev. Byaruhanga said when she failed to report for duty yesterday, the neighbours and fellow teachers got concerned and decided to break her door only to find her lying dead in her bed.

Mr Maate said her body was taken to Kabale Region Referral Hospital for post-mortem to establish the cause of her death. He says that the matter has been registered at Katuna Police station under the file SD 18/29/10/19.
