Uganda airlines maiden flight to cost Shs166,000

This means a return ticket goes for an enticing Shs330,000, a huge deal from the normal average $300 (Shs1.1 million) other airlines are charging for the same route

The flight will depart from Entebbe Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 10am.
It is not yet clear whether this was made specifically for marketing purposes. But this means the taxpayer foots bills for this flight.
The announcement of the inaugural flight was made by Ministry of Works, via a tweet on Sunday, prompting a section of the public to ask whether plans for the maiden flight had changed.
However, the airlines says that the first commercial flight which has been called the maiden flight is still scheduled for Wednesday.
“The Uganda Airlines inaugural flight is on 27th August and the maiden flight is on 28th August,” Jennifer Bamuturaki the director commercial, Uganda Airlines said.
The maiden flight will take off at 6am and will reach JKIA at 7.15am.
