Victoria University boosts Miss Curvy contest ahead of finals tomorrow

  • The organizer of Miss curvy contest, Ms Annie Mungoma commended the University for ensuring that all the contestants are skilled and acquire more skills for the future.

Victoria University has offered scholarship to all the 25 Miss Curvy contestants ahead of the grand finale tomorrow (Friday April 26, 2019).

According to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Krishma Sharma, the university is set to offer a full scholarship to the winner and 70 per cent scholarships to the other 24 finalists

He said that this is intended promote the career growth and equality in communities by supporting talented students to acquire the necessary academic qualifications.

“We are ready to admit and impart knowledge and skills to these missy curvy contestants in order to promote career growth and equality and also to contribute to the country’s development,” Mr Sharma said. The scholarships caters for Diplomas, Bachelors and Masters.

The university which is owned by the renowned businessman Sudhir Ruparelia is also ready to offer the contestants free short courses in public speaking.

“We are giving them free short courses in public speaking and presentation so that they may effectively share the message about self-esteem to the young girls who look up to them,” Mr Sharma said.
