One of president Uhuru Kenyatta’s official vehicles was stolen from his police driver in Ruai, Nairobi.

The driver, David Machui, was heading to his home at the Ruai Police residential houses after the day’s duties, when he was ambushed by three gunmen.

They stripped him naked and abandoned him in a thicket, before making away with the high-end bulletproof BMW limousine. The car that was bearing a private plate at the time was said to be part of the luxury fleet that carries the President.

State house officials confirmed the incident but denied that it was part of the fleet the president used. The hunt for the vehicle and the suspects is on.
