Alarm Bells: Ministry should tamarck Bukerere Rd.

Saturday July 23 2011

The Ministry of Works and Transport should as a matter of agency prioritise the tarmacking of Bukerere Road in Seeta, Mukono Municipality. This road, which starts at Seeta in Mukono Municipality off Kampala-Jinja highway links Mukono, Wakiso and Metropoplitan Kampala as it curves to Namugongo, Bweyogerere, Kireka or leads to Gayaza and beyond. The road is currently very dusty following the grading and levelling with mere soils, which quickly turned into dust. Leaving this road to Mukono Municipality will simply condemn the users to more suffering.
Joseph Okedi,

Help promote child-welfare

National Council for Children would like to commend the Rotary Club of Kampala North for donating 30 incubators worth Shs200 million to Kampala, Kisubi, Mitala Maria, Kayunga and Rubaga hospitals to help save the lives of children born prematurely. In line with Council’s mandate, we call upon well-wishers to come up and emulate the Rotary spirit and increase support to institutions such as hospitals towards the promotion of child-welfare and development in the country.
