All Ugandan problems have been solved by me, says Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni

A number of challenges that had characterized Uganda in the past governments were solved by the National Resistance Movement (NRM), president Museveni has said.
According to Mr Museveni, insecurity, infrastructure and economic challenges, among others faced by Ugandans have been solved by the NRM led by him.
“All the problems have been solved by NRM led by me. All the others have been passengers in the bus. I led the war and brought peace. What have all the others done for you?” he asked.
Mr Museveni made the remarks on Monday during a question and answer session with the press at State Lodge in Gulu.

“We are not liars. We are workers. We do what is possible and we do it systematically. We do one thing at a time,” he added.
On the question of NRM inefficiency, Mr Museveni asked: “If this government was inefficient and others were efficient, why didn’t they take electricity to some of those places which had spent years in darkness?”

Mr Museveni says his competitors, especially FDC presidential candidate Dr Kizza Besigye and Amama Mbabazi who running for presidency on the independent ticket have no capacity to lead the country.
“Dr Besigye who once led the secretariat and Mr Mbabazi who was the leader of government business and running the secretariat failed. After messing up everything, they want me to go away and they destroy the country. They want to mess up the army which is now functional,” added Mr Museveni who has been in power for 30-years.
