SACKED Cranes coach Muhammad Abbas has said the Federation has shown no
respect for him at all.
Ã¢â‚¬Å“ I cacnot believe Fufa could sack me before even informing me. I read
all this in the press today (yesterday) when I returned from Egypt,Ã¢â‚¬Â�
said a disappointed Abbas.
He said even the State Minister for Education and Sports Charles
Bakkabulindi is unhappy with the manner which Fufa handled the matter.
Ã¢â‚¬Å“ I will wait for the next move from the Egyptian embassy,Ã¢â‚¬Â� said Abbas
who added that he had worked for Uganda under alot of difficulty.
Meanwhile, the technical committee headed by Asuman Lubowa will from
immediate effect assume the powers to directly manage the affairs of
national teams. This means that the committee members will handle
national teams' technical matters until different coaches are
Mr Rogers Mulindwa, the Fufa Media Committee boss told a weekly press
briefing at Mengo yesterday that Lubowa's committee was in charge
following t he sacking of the Cranes' coach Muhammad Abbas on Tuesday.
"All matters related to the national teams would be handled by the
technical committee," said Mulindwa. The Cranes team has already been
summoned to start training.
