KAMPALA. Ndejje University have over the years built a reputation as a mid-table team in the National Basketball League.
One that is often too good to be relegated and the other that just falls short of making the second round (semifinals) of the playoffs.
In the same regard, their season also usually involves a standout regular season game against one of the championship contenders.

As they face off with City Oilers in one of two men’s games at the Lugogo Arena, there is a possibility that game could be witnessed this evening.
Ndejje are surprisingly the in-form team, going into today’s game with a 6-1 record.
Their back court of Innocent Ochera and Gauthier Baderha is a match for any in the league and combined for 41 points in their 80-63 win over Kampala University last Sunday.

The former is averaging 18 points this season.
City Oilers will, meanwhile, arrive at Lugogo with an indifferent 5-3 start in which coach Mandy Juruni initially blamed injuries before turning on his players after the 67-66 loss to JKL.
They responded with an 89-54 rout of Sharing and will be looking to close out the first round without further losses with games against KCCA and Our Saviour coming.
On Wednesday, two runs were maintained with JKL Ladies making an 8-0 start after a 109-28 stroll over MUK Sparks in the women’s top division.

Our Saviour on the other hand might need divine intervention to avoid relegation at this rate after suffering their eighth successive defeat in going down 60-55 to league debutants Kampala University.
