Warriors out to compound Power misery

Betway Power were found wanting in their first real test since the National Basketball League resumed following a month-long break.
After claiming 112-58 win over Our Saviour, Power went down 77-85 to JKL Dolphins on Wednesday evening with Joseph Ikong and his coach admitting they had not had the best preparations during the break.
“Players have not been showing up for practice. Some players were in and out so you find there was no coordination. It affects the whole team,” Power coach Arnold Lando said in his post-match interview.
Old foes Warriors will consequently be looking to capitalize on their rivals’ current predicament when the two teams face off in one of two games at YMCA this evening. The downside to that if you are a Warriors fan however is that games between these old rivals, who contested successive finals between 2009 and 2011, are rarely determined by form. Consequently Power are unlikely to need any more motivation as they seek to return to winning ways after JKL ended their eight game winning run.
“We failed to execute our plays but I think it is because we have been on holiday but this is something we are going to improve going forward,” Joseph Ikong offered.
