Ten-man boxing team to Morocco announced

The Uganda Boxing Federation [UBF] on Monday announced a 10-man-squad that will represent Uganda at the All-Africa Games next week. The boxing team includes eight boxers and two coaches.

UBF president Moses Muhangi said that this bombers squad was selected collectively by the federation technical team, without any favour, but gauging the potential of success.

Muhangi reiterated that the federation was done a disservice being denied the chance to take a full team [of 10 boys, 10 girls] but trusts the ones selected to do a good job. He also consoled the rest to look forward to upcoming tournaments.

The team has six boys and two girls. A male [head] coach and female deputy.

At the 2015 All-Africa Games, only Sweden-based Kennedy Katende won a bronze medal.
