ENTEBBE- As the 2019 Singleton semi-final draws were displayed on the projector at the famed 19th hole of Entebbe, there were triumphant pairings and unfinished business from the

While Ssuubi Kiwanuka bounced around gleefully having secured a place in the semis with partner Tim Mwanda, the pairings of Robert Busingye/Richard Lutwama and Ashraf Bagalana/Silver Rugambwa must lock horns one more time.

After squaring through 18 topsy-turvy holes, the two pairs will have to marginalize their errors when they face off in a playoff. The playoff will be on holes 1, 2 and 9.

Rugambwa acknowledged that Busingye and Lutwama are a formidable pair who will make for worthwhile playoff.

Ssuubi and Mwanda played against Doreen Mwesige, who battled on her own gallantly with partner Wendy Angudeyo absent. The former pair advanced 2&1.Ssubi will be hoping to better his brother Kiwanuka Kiryowa aka KK. In the second edition of Singleton, KK and Elly Kibuuka Mukasa ‘Sober’ exited in the penultimate stage of the competition.

Another playoff on the cards is that of Martha Babirye & Maureen Okura who are due to face off against Samuel Odere and Charles Odere.

As always, Entebbe’s 19th doesnt disappoint. Golfers observed the Cowboy theme night and dressed like Texans with matching hats, shoes and medallion belts. There was also the occasional pistoL for somethat was conspicuously strapped around the waist under the arm.
Singleton never disappoints on and off the course. Over to the next round.
