Kampala. Team Uganda maintained third place however they will need a collective effort to urgently improve on the final day of the Africa Junior Golf Championships in Botswana today.

Uganda’s experienced pair of Denis Asaba and Joel Basalaine scored one-under 71 and two-under 70 to inspire the nation’s charge for the two available slots to the Junior Golf World Cup due November in Japan.
Rookies Ibrahim Aliga and Micheal Alunga carded 82 and 83 respectively and Uganda is now five strokes overall behind second Morocco whose best trio tallied 219 gross for the day.
