Kampala. The Mitsubishi EvoX ‘Ekisodde’ is the car to beat during the CMC Challenge Rally this weekend.
The two-day event which is the second round of the National Rally Championship (NRC) will run in Mukono aand Kayunga districts. This was the view of Joshua Mayanja the FMU Technical Delegate while analysing the event. “Of all the cars which are taking part in this event the EvoX has more chances of emerging victorious,” he told the Daily Monitor. “The engine design of the EvoXs give them advantage in tight sections over Subaru’s which works well where high speeds are needed.”
Mayanja also pointed out that most the Mitsubishi cars around have Dog gearboxes which is also an added advantage. However, he singled out Yassin Nasser’s Subaru GVB has the car to watch because it has the latest technology which can match the Mitsubishis. The technical guru also said human errors and the driving style will also do a big part.  He said a mistake can cost the crew. The event will have three competitive sections (CS) on day two (Sunday) which will be repeated three times. The longest section is Nandagi  (15.54km) while Mpoma is the shortest with 10.56km.
