That Rajiv Ruparelia harbours ambitions of competing in the National Rally Championship (NRC) next season is well known.
And after clinching the autocross championship, Rajiv believes that the experience gained will be invaluable ahead of future events.
“It has been a good event. We have won the autocross trophy but most important is we are getting experience as we prepare for next year to challenge the big boys,” Rajiv said.

Fine form
With Enoch Olinga as co-driver, they won in a time of 7:25 ahead of Andy Musoke/Richard Ssengendo to continue their fine form in their debut season.
Last weekend they won the Clubman Rally Championship (CRC) category in the Kabalega Ray finishing 50 percent of the event in a time 01:09:37 in their VW Polo.
Rajiv and Olinga also registered victory in autocross events in Kayunga back in July and in Kapeeka in August that helped them graduate to CRC.
Autocross is the entry level to active racing before joining CRC and later NRC.
