KAMPALA. Maxime van Pee, Team Uganda captain, is confident his boys will be ruthless when they line up against Kenya today.
The two regional rivals will be competing in the 1st leg of FIM Africa Central Africa MX Challenge at the Uganda Sports Arena, Busiika.

Uganda has won the annual event for the past four years. Last year, the boys from the Pearl of Africa beat a strong Kenyan team in their own back yard at the Jamhuri Race Track Nairobi.
Early this week Kenya announced a team of 11 riders for the Easter Sunday clash.
Maxime said Uganda will use the numerical advantage to collect as many points as possible so that they travel to Nairobi with a big lead in December.

“We are fielding 40-60 riders to make sure we have a lead over 1,000 points going into the return leg. We want to win the event here,” a confident Maxime told the Sunday Monitor.
Last year Uganda collected 1,643 points to Kenya’s 204 during the first leg at Garuga before beating the Kenyan by 31 points in front of their own fans to retain the regional title.

Maxime also said apart from Ali ‘Bobo’ Omar who still injured, the rest are ready for action.
Uganda will parade stars like Miguel Katende and William Blick Jr in MX50 cc senior, Alon Orland the defending champion in 65cc and Gift Ssebuguzi plus the trio of Stav Orland, Waleed Omar and Kylan Wekesa in MX85cc.

Other are Aviv Orland, Fortune Ssentamu and Wazir Omar in MX125cc with Maxime Van Pee and Asaf Natan expected to battle for honours in MX1.
With the Kenyans outnumbered, the main focus will be on collecting points at the event which will is also count as the third round of the national championship.
