Yasin Nasser and Ali Katumba in Subaru GVB have tightened their grip on the National Rally Championship (NRC) title.
Moil crew is six seconds ahead of rookie driver Rajiv Ruparelia and Enock Olinga in VW Polo. Arthur Blick jr, the 2015 national champion is third with a further six seconds.

Total sponsored crew Adam Rauf and Aaron Nsamba in EvoX, who were leading in the morning two sections, hit a tree during the Super special stage at Kontik hotel in the afternoon.
However, the two did not sustain serious injuries and are expected to take part in tomorrow’s session which start in the morning of the rally’s day two.

The drivers will have to negotiate 140.79km spread over six sections.
Earlier, many top drivers could not survive the two morning sections, Kyentale(18.02km) and Kikwata Miigo (11.42km).
Chritakis Fitidis in Evo X who was flagged off first retired before he was followed by Ponsiano Lwakataka, a two-time national champion in Subaru N12B and Ambrose Byona in Evo X.

Both retired with engine problems. Samuel Watendwa 2WD championship contender crashed his Toyota Starlet.
Fourteen drivers out of 28 who started the event are still running. The event ends Sunday.
