Judo: Three Ugandans win medals in regional tournament

Three Ugandans have won medals at the East African Judo Championship in Dar er Salaam, which Tanzania ends today [Sunday].
Bana Landry won gold in the Under 60kg category, Sabiti Kudura won silver in the Under 66kg category while Happy Fiona won bronze in the Under 57kg category.
Team manager David Katana said this was a great statement from the team that did not get any financial assistance from government.
The performance is a good booster for the team eyeing the African Championship in Tunisia in September and the All-Africa Games—both qualifiers to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Team captain George Ssekiwunga, in the heavyweight category, is in action today.
