Kampala. It can be difficult for the working class people to beat the city traffic jam and be able to hit the gym. However, Lucky’s Groove Back, a fitness program, could transform all this by catering for people’s specific workout needs at home. This Saturday, a fun-filled evening of physical fitness, zumba, yoga and aerobics sessions will be hosted at the StarTimes Stadium Lugogo from 5-7pm.

“We are bringing the experts to share tips and equip you with knowledge on how you can work on your fitness at your convenience,” Lucky Mbabazi, the organiser said yesterday. The mother of four was inspired by friends who kept probing how she maintains her body in shape alongside her career demands. She maintains a five-day workout routine by resting over the weekend. Yoga instructor Latif Muyanja said that “fitness is like a relationship. You cannot cheat on it and it works,” he said.

“Fitness is not only achieved in the gym and we shall demonstrate this through aerobics, stretches and workouts for tunnies,” Robert Ddamulira, one of the instructors, said.
Yet Zumba instructor Gerry Opoka agrees that “sometimes it is hard but with zumba, we tap into the fun side”.

The camp will be held courtesy of sponsors Bata and Jibu Water. Participants will part with Shs20,000.
“In January, people made resolutions to get fitter and this is an opportunity to learn a few tricks of doing it at zero cost,” Mbabazi concluded.
