KAMPALA. With England and New Zealand announcing their final 12 this week, the Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) says it is not in a hurry to do so ahead of Netball World Cup due July 12-21 in Liverpool, England.
The cash strapped federation has been processing visa cards for federation officials and players for two weeks.
The team resumed training on Monday after over three weeks of forced rest resulting from lack of players’ allowances.

Wilberforce Mutete the federation spokesperson said that coaches will hold a meeting to identify the final 12 who will most likely be revealed next week.
“We are not in a hurry to announce the final squad, we shall do it at our own timing,” he said.
Meanwhile wing attackers Susan Atino and national team debutant Norah Lunkuse have reportedly been expelled from training by the Susan Anek the federation president.

Lunkuse got a minor motor accident on her way back home from training, had to undergo examination at Mulago Hospital, however after recovering, she was sent away from training.
Meanwhile Atino, after recovering from an injury she had attained during the Zimbabwe friendly was also ordered not to return.
The two were reluctant in revealing their current situation, however a coach who preferred anonymity told this paper that the president did not consult the technical committee while dismissing these players and she did it in her own powers.

“The players were not pleased with this act, however it is outside our control because the president stopped them from training without consulting the technical committee,” he said.
Atino will be missing her second World Cup after being dropped from the 2015 World Cup squad.
This will be Uganda’s third Netball World Cup after the 1979 and 2015 editions in Trinidad and Tobago and Australia respectively.
