KAMPALA. Rugby Sevens Cranes coach Tolbert Onyango has stuck with a big part of the side that debuted at the Rugby Sevens World Cup in San Francisco, USA last year.
Of the 12 that travelled for the Melrose Cup, eight have been named for the World Sevens Series qualifier in Hong Kong on the first weekend of April.

Captain Michael Wokorach, Phillip Wokorach, Desire Ayera, Pius Ogena, Byron Oketayot, Aaron Ofoyrwoth, Adrian Kasito and Timothy Kisiga all make the grade while Ivan Magomu is out of the set-up.
Solomon Okia , James Odong and Lawrence Sebuliba all miss out through injury as Justin Kimono is the non-travelling replacement.

The side called off a trip to Zimbabwe for the Victoria Falls Sevens, a tournament that was meant to test the side before leaving for the qualifier on March 31. The development sets up the side a camp most likely in Jinja like the norm has been. The Rugby Seven Cranes have knocked on the HSBC Sevens Series door on two occasions but it’s yet to open. 2017 and 2018 saw them fall short in the Hong Kong qualifiers, stopping at the last eight in 2017 and in the last 16 last year. They find themselves drawn in Pool G with Chile, Germany and Cook Islands.
