KAMPALA- Justin Kimono has been passed fit to feature against Zambia on Saturday at Kyadondo for Uganda’s last home Victoria Cup of the campaign.
Kimono, who was named vice captain last year, has been battling a knee injury that has seen him miss out on games against Kenya, both home and away, and Zimbabwe a fortnight back. His return vastly improves the side according to Cranes coach Robert Seguya. “ He is a great player, we all know what he is capable of. He is also a leader with loads of experience, so we are glad to have him back.”
Ian Muyani and Brian Asaba, too, return having missed out against Zimbabwe with concussions.

Another change sees Pius Ogena shift from backs to forwards as Seguya plots to utilise his mobility.

“He is a good flanker and we can use him to halt Zambia’s play. They play a game similar to ours and Ogena can be key in getting us over them,” said Seguya.
Robert Aziku is also out after breaking his nose in training earlier this week. Zambia check in today with hope of getting a win under their belt on the back of two consecutive losses to Kenya and Zimbabwe. Uganda, who started the campaign with a 16-13 over Kenya in Kisumu, have lost back to back games against Kenya and Zimbabwe. Saturday’s tie is a perfect opportunity to return to winning ways.
