It’s Master vs apprentice as Proline face Kiboga Young

Kampala- It’s first against second in the Fufa Big League as Kiboga Young look to overtake Proline at the top.

Felix Ssekabuuza, the coach of Kiboga Young is back to the venue from where he qualified to this stage in May after overcoming Katwe United.
“Kiboga are a very good team.

They’re dangerous,” said Proline head coach Shafiq Bisaso ahead of this unlikely top-of-the-table showdown.
It is going to be a battle between master and apprentice.

Bisaso knows a lot about tonight’s opposition, having coached most of the players in Masaza football and at Masavu apart from striker Farouk Kawooya yet Ssekabuuza has been his assistant since 2014 when they started at Gomba. Actually, Bisaso is the one who helped Ssekabuuza get his coaching badges.

Both teams come into the game unbeaten. Proline’s attack which has Ivan Bogere, Hakim Kiwanuka and Bright Anukani who are responsible for the 20 goals, an average of 2.8 goals per game, can open a five-point gap to 22 points leaving Kiboga on 17 points.

A chink in the gleaming Proline team was exposed against Water when opponents become offensive and Kiboga Young coach Felix Ssekabuuza, who will opt for an all-out attack, would have borrowed a leaf.

If the hosts play as open as that again today, their lead at the top may well be in danger against a team that is hot on their heels.

Kiboga don’t find themselves in such a position for no reason. They have been arguably the Big League’s biggest surprise package this season, boasting the second-best tallies for goals for and the meanest defence.

Key to their success has been the glittering form of Peter Lomoro and Isaac Otto. Lomoro has been a revelation, scoring four goals and leading the line with a terrifying blend of energy, aggression and pace. Otto has also scored three goals, meaning together the pair have plundered more than half the goals the team has managed in total (12).

Bisaso will be desperate to keep Proline’s promotion hopes burning and may have to go for the throat.

“It is good that they are highly motivated but we are home. Our priority is to win all home games and we are in the right shape to beat everyone,” he stated. It’s all to play for at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
