Kampala. Being an offshoot of Nkumba University mattered less to reigning national beach soccer league kings Isabeti when they reciprocated that with blows and kicks as the two sides faced off in a title shaping tie at Lido Beach Entebbe on Sunday.

Isabeti shot-stopper Medi Kibirige ignited a fist fight with Nkumba’s Dan Nsubuga that forced the referee to send both of them off midway the tension-filled duel.

When normalcy returned, Nkumba resumed their dominion over the star-studded Isabeti with a brace from Issa Otto, Emmanuel Wasswa and Nsubuga’s strike (scored before he was shown marching orders).

Lawrence Bakiranze and Hamim Semakula goals for Isabeti could do little to save Issa Assimwe’s side that is edging closer to surrendering the title to run away leaders and record winners Mubs.
