Fufa express frustration at failure to meet First Lady

Kampala. With the Afcon qualification jubilations yet dried up, a mindboggling revelation by Fufa has thrown a spanner in the works.
Fufa president Moses Magogo told the press yesterday at Mengo that they have failed to get the audience of the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni on seven different attempts since she was appointed over two years ago.
That statement, if true, speaks volumes, considering that Fufa and Cranes dined at State House with President Yoweri Museveni on Monday.
“As well as many other federations have been able to meet Mama Janet, only Fufa has been blocked to meet her, and this is reality,” Magogo revealed with a straight face.
In her docket falls Fufa and the alleged communication breakdown is bound to attract diverse impact.
“She has to plan for the industry. She is not only the First Lady but also the Minister of the sector where we belong. We have been one of the best performing federations. This is our frustration,” he added.
Fufa say that since Ms Museveni was appointed minister (on June 6, 2016), they have written seven letters; five in 2017 and two in 2016. He pointed out that they have not got response from letters they sent in 2017 (on January 6, February 14, July 11, July 17, and November 17 while in 2016, they wrote to her on December 21 and September 27.
