In-form URA look to close in on UPL leaders

KAMPALA. Forward Cromwell Rwothomio’s view that URA are still in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League title race is not shared by many.
The forward made the statement after his side’s 2-0 win over Paidha Black Angels that moved them within 11 points of leaders KCCA.
“Teams ahead of us are dropping points so we always make sure we get the three points in very game we play,” he said then.
His side have a chance to further enhance his view today when they play their game in hand against Bul.
The Tax Collectors are fourth on the table with 38 points, 11 behind leaders KCCA with seven games left while third placed Mbarara are only three points ahead.
They come into today’s game as the league’s in-form side having won three games on the trot with captain Shafik Kagimu playing an integral part with four goals in the last three games.
The Sam Simbwa-coached side will also welcome comeback influential holding midfielder Siraje Sentamu from injury.
They play a Bul side that while not consistent lately are only a position and three points behind URA.
They lost their previous game, a Uganda Cup quarterfinal to Express in a sequence that has also seen them draw and lost twice in the last six games.
