Okello punishes Ondu to set up Vipers finale

Another Demolition. Okello (L) scored a brace after Musa (R) had notched the opener after four minutes to inspire KCCA to a 3-1 victory against Onduparaka in Pilsner Super 8 Cup at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo on Friday. KCCA will now play Vipers in the final on Sunday next week.

PILSNER SUPER 8. The forward enjoys playing Onduparaka and his brace on Friday made it seven goals against the Arua-based side that includes a memorable debut hat-trick in 2017.

It is the dream final domestic football fans and tournament sponsors Pilsner Lager hoped for.
And it is one that they will get on Sunday next week after KCCA defeated Onduparaka 3-1 to set up a Pilsner Super 8 final against Vipers.
“It will be arguably a game between the two best teams in the country and a good curtain raiser for the league,” KCCA manager Mike Mutebi said of the final his Kasasiro Lads brushed aside the new-look West Nile-based outfit.
Onduparaka assistant coach Sadiq Ssempigi blamed the result largely on goalkeeper Baker Yunus.
In truth though, each of his defenders were as culpable as Onduparaka were again put to the sword by a familiar face in Allan Okello.

Debut hat-trick
The forward enjoys playing Onduparaka and his brace on Friday made it seven goals against the Arua-based side that includes a memorable debut hat-trick.
His first goal and second on the day involved a typical mazy run across goal before beating Yunus with a low drive that ended the game as a contest on the stroke of half time.
This was after Musa Ramathan got the opener after forcing his way through opposition defence inside the opening four minutes.
But Onduparaka stepped up in the second half and got a goal from Bashir Bheto, who headed home from fellow substitute Geriga Atendere’s perfect cross.
But their nemesis Okello again found a way past Yunus, who was beaten at his near post from a freekick.
“They caused us a few problems and gave us a good test ahead of our continental game,” Mutebi added.
