Kalinaki inspires Nation Media to 3-1 win over Huawei

KAMPALA. Daniel Kalinaki’s first appearance this year played a major role in Nation Media Group (NMG) defeating Huawei 3-1 at Kabira Country Club in their friendly on Saturday.
The NMG-Uganda's general manager, editorial was lacking in pace but not brains. Playing as the second attacker, he demonstrated superiority, opening the scoring on 16 minutes with a well taken free kick.
Poor defending saw Huawei, pull an equaliser seven minutes later through Byron Kafeero before NTV’s Juma Kirya added another for the pressmen in the 29th to take a 2-1 halftime lead.
Kalinaki had a say once again releasing Frank Oketta for the winner with 15 minutes remaining. It was a consolation for a close range miss earlier.
Saturday’s win was particularly heart-warming for NMG as they were awarded a glittering trophy by Huawei Managing Director Liu Jia Wei.
This Sunday will see NMG play an in-house gala.
