Katabi Kitubulu FC humiliates Mayanzi to win Namayirira independence trophy

It was all merry in Entebbe after Katabi Kitubulu FC from Entebbe Division A won Namayirira Independence tournament after humiliating Mayanzi FC 1-0.
Until Wednesday when they were defeated at Works play ground in Entebbe, Mayanzi FC has been the defending champion of Namayirira Independence tournament for the last two years.

Katabi Kitubulu FC walked away with medals, a trophy and a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle while Mayanzi FC was given medals and a bull.
Namayirira Independence tournament of Fourth edition was spiced up with a variety of other games like boxing, away from the usual football and netball.

Namayirira Independence campaign 2019 began in September with more than 20 teams including Old Entebbe FC, Bugonga I FC, Kiwafu FC, Mayago FC, Banga c among others.
However, these were knocked out in the tournament organized annually by the Entebbe Division B chairman Mr Stanley Namayirira as a way of keeping talents alive, and uniting residents of Entebbe municipality through games and sports.
