Uganda Cranes winger Sula ‘Malouda’ Matovu yesterday signed for Sweden’s Allsvenskan outfit BK Hacken from Iraqi side Erbil Sports Club.
Matovu has been on a month- long trial which earned him a 12 month’s deal.
“Everything is clear and he will be wearing yellow and black next year,” Motuvu’s agent Faustino Mukandila told Fotbolltransfers.com. “The player is very happy about this. As well as the sports director and entire organisation in BK Hacken has been excellent,” he added.
Matovu’s journey started with Proline Soccer Academy in 2006 before he was promoted to Proline FC. He later joined St George of Ethiopia in 2011.
The Ugandan then signed for Iraq side Erbil SC, who he helped to the final of the Asian Cup.
Matovu who has played 15 times for Uganda joins fellow teammate in Sweden Martin Kayongo Mutumba, who turns out for AIK Stockholm.
