What you need to know:

Until the 2016/17 season to date, in which KCCA have beaten Express home and away, Wankulukuku was never an easy ground for the Yellow brigade. The Red Eagles, who come into this fixture with 13 points after 10 matches having won only three of those, will hope the old times are back today.

Kampala. Twelve StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) clubs are in action today but most attention will inevitably be at Wankulukuku, with some checks on Bombo, where SC Villa visit Ndejje University.
With second-placed Vipers SC travelling to Algeria for Friday’s Caf Champions League duty against CS Constantine, any significant table movement could be at Wankulukuku. It is here where KCCA could open a six-point gap at the summit should they beat hosts Express and Onduparaka fail to beat Bul.

“It will be a tough match because we have never had it easy against Express,” said KCCA manager Mike Mutebi, “But we’ve had a good run and we are all prepared for everything.” KCCA, who top the log on 24 points from 10 matches, have won their last four league matches scoring 13 goals along the way. This match against Express is timely for them as it comes days before KCCA open their Caf Confederation Cup campaign against Tanzania’s Mtibwa at Lugogo on Saturday.
“So if you are playing Express before Mtibwa,” explained Mutebi, “You would use that game to check out what you are going to play. It’s the same players. Only that the other is a tournament of sorts.”

Mutebi’s team is boosted by the return of Muzamiru Mutyaba and Gift Ali to add onto the already exciting group of Allan Okello and Jackson Nunda among others.
On the other hand, Express coach Kefa Kisala carries into today’s fixture a Red Eagles side desperate to win again after losing their last two matches against Onduparaka andJinja SS.
