Mwebaze credits Nyamityobora win over Ndejje to home return

MBARARA. After playing 11 games away from home, Nyamityobora players could not afford to lose in front of their home fans at Kakyeka stadium as they defeated fellow relegation-threatened opponents Ndejje University.
Nyamityobora had gone seven games without a win since their only win in the league against Mbarara City at Kavuma Recreation grounds in October.
‘’The most important thing is that we have played at home and this is a confidence booster; maybe from here we can start having hopes that we can win more Matches and gain points,’’ observed Nyamityobora coach Mwebaze.
“We had gone seven games without a win since we beat Mbarara so winning against Ndejje was crucial.”
Mwebaze now wants his players to double their efforts as their bid to avoid relegation gathers pace.
‘’We want the players to work harder than what they did today,” the former Onduparaka coach reiterated.
Meanwhile URA ended their drawing streak by securing a priceless 2-0 victory away at Bright Stars.
The taxmen had played seven straight draws that left their faithful frustrated.
And the win will take some pressure off coach Sam Ssimbwa considering that Mwererwe is a difficult trip for any side in the Uganda Premier League.
The Jinja derby between Kirinya and BUL ended in a 2-2 stalemate.
