NGO league Season Two off to a flyer

Season Two of the Ngo League got off to the best start possible at Legends last Sunday, with no hiccups. The football cum touch rugby meet gathered up to 14 cohorts in what is on course to becoming another successful season.
The competitive spirit was alive from the start with all sorts of tackles flying in but the brotherly setting kept all in line. All eyes lay on Holders Hornbills, class of 2008-2013, for clear reasons.
The Gerald Adridabo captained side managed four points from two games to place them second on the log, behind surprise leaders Los Bandidos on six points on their league debut.
Shooters (2002-2007), who are also newcomers and third on the log level on four points with Hornbills and three other sides in Barbarians, Butida and Ba Musaayi Mutto left vibrant and hopeful with match Day Two coming on Saturday.
“This is a great innovation. We should have been here last year but somehow missed out but we are here to make the best of this opportunity,” said Shooters’ forward John Senkandwa who also found the back of the net against Bakipya in a one-all stalemate.
Nyanya Mbisi and Ba Guy remain the only pointless sides while Dream Team, Stingers and Tyrants are at the wrong side of the table with one point each. The league is also partnering with charity organisation 40 smiles 40 days to support the Kansanga slum of Kikubamutwe.
