Premiership legend Fowler to visit Uganda

Kampala. The recent past has seen a number of Premier League legends set foot in Uganda, majorly, on charity and promotional engagements.
From Rio Ferdinand, Nwankwo Kanu, Marcel Desailly, John Barnes and Emmanuel Eboue, next in line is former Liverpool and England hotshot, Robbie Fowler.
Fowler, who scored a staggering 376 Premier League goals for Leeds United, Liverpool and Manchester City, will land at Entebbe International Airport on Thursday on a three-day visit sponsored by Barclays Bank.
As part of his visit, Fowler will share his football career experience, interact with Barclays Bank customers and conduct a football clinic with young underprivileged footballers among other activities, according to Rakesh Jha, the bank’s Managing Director.
A ‘Superfans United Clubhouse’ at Lugogo Mall will be the center for a host of festivities for Barclays Bank customers and the public, including exciting competitions, prizes and viewing of a Premier League game.
The bank is also running the ‘Access Campaign’, which is giving both current and new customers a chance to win a VIP experience with Fowler at the said Clubhouse.
Additionally, the campaign offers customers an opportunity to win a trip to the United Kingdom to watch a live English Premier League match in May 2019.
