Problems persist with Paidha ahead of daunting KCCA trip

Kampala. A delegation from domestic football governing body Fufa last week traveled to Zombo district and agreed to proposals to have a three-month interim committee steer PBA leadership before electing a new one.
This followed leadership wrangles that threatened the future of the club with both Alfred Odaga and Robert Jakony claiming leadership of the club.
While they appear to have struck a compromise in that regard, the club seems to have a long way before normalcy returns. Daily Monitor understands the club is expected to arrive this morning from Zombo for their match against leaders KCCA having postponed their departure o,ver the weekend.
This followed disagreements among club officials with some fronting the idea of the team traveling without head coach Muhammad Kisekka.
Kisekka allegedly insisted on dropping some senior players who absconded from training since last week’s 1-0 home loss to Kirinya-Jinja.
The latest incident could play into KCCA’s hands who are coming off a comfortable 3-0 first leg win over Tanzania’s Mtibwa Sugar in the Caf Confederation Cup.

70 matches
Today’s game will also act as a dress rehearsal for Mike Mutebi’s side ahead of the return leg in Dar es Salaam this weekend.
The coach seemed more than happy to have today’s fixture out of the way having been postponed as a result of their Caf excursions.
“On average a KCCA player must play at least 70 matches. We prepared for that. That’s why I don’t like this business of moving fixtures. There is no scare at all; we have a full squad, we have enough players. We can rest some,’ Mutebi asserted.
His side will be seeking to stretch their lead at the top with their tally of 24 points one better than that of second placed Onduparaka who have played 12 games.
Paidha are meanwhile bottom of the 16-team log with four points after 11 games and have lost their past seven league games.
