Kampala. Champions Kyambogo begin their Pepsi University Football League title defence today playing host to Kampala International University (KIU) in what should be a cracking encounter.
The team will be without their inspirational captain and last season’s League MVP Ashaba Racmac who joined SC Villa. However, coach Deo Sserwadda is confident he can win back-to-back titles with the team that he has.

“Last season’s trophy was a team effort and with the exception of Ashaba and two other players, the team remains intact. I know we shall not only have a good game but shall also be able to defend our title,” Sserwadda said.

Kyambogo begin the season with two goals and as many points docked from them by the League Disciplinary Committee for fans indiscipline during the first leg of the semi-final between them and Bugema University.
Bugema University were docked four goals and four points for their fans indiscipline during the second leg of their game.
KIU knocked out Makerere University to reach this stage of the competition.
