KAMPALA- It is that time to get out your calendars and mark certain dates when momentous and potentially title shaping StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) matches will be played.

The league Secretariat might have released just half of the 2019-2020 competition fixtures but already tongues are wagging over matches that will be played out between traditional giants, title hopefuls and pretenders.
KCCA vs URA, September 18, Lugogo

Defending Champions KCCA suffered a glitch at StarTimes Stadium as Sam Ssimbwa’s URA gave them a footballing lesson last season.
KCCA had won the earlier leg at URA’s backyard. Expect this encounter to be purely explosive.
Express vs SC Villa, September 13, Wankulukuku
The two fallen traditional giants shared a 1-1 draw in their last league meet in yet another season both sides would want to forget hastily. New battlelines will be drawn with new players, coaches and ambitions.
SC Villa vs Vipers, October 2, Namboole
Forget the Villa, Express and KCCA (VEK) days. This is gradually turning out to be the most hotly contested league match. Vipers inflicted a painful defeat to Villa at Namboole before the Jogoos reciprocated in equal measure, winning 3-1 at St Mary’s Stadium. No love will be lost when they meet again on October 2 and by then the league is expected to be in the first round final bend.
KCCA vs SC Villa, November 1, Lugogo
Goals in gluts characterized their contest last season with KCCA prevailing 3-2 at Namboole and 4-2 at Lugogo. Now that KCCA is three league trophies away from Villa’s 16-trophy record, expect fireworks.
Vipers vs URA, November 12, Kitende
It promises to be a clash of managerial egos with Ssimbwa, reportedly on the brink of joining Vipers recently, facing Edward Golola. The latter is eager to prove his demanding boss that he was spot on with his reappointment. On top of vying for the league, Vipers will be eyeing to avenge the painful 2-1 home loss to URA.
Express vs KCCA, November 13, Wankulukuku
Express halted KCCA’s unbeaten run with a memorable 3-2 home win but KCCA turned the tables at Lugogo with a commanding 3-1 win. Lesson; this match can serve surprises.
KCCA vs Vipers, November 16, Lugogo
They shared the spoils last season home and away but if anything, the results from their two meets will go a long way in pointing to the title destiny.
