KAMPALA- YMCA Comprehensive Institute captain Mutyaba Twaha is confident his team can overturn a two-goal deficit when they host St. Lawrence University in the second leg of their Pepsi University Football League quarterfinal clash at home in Buwambo.

The first leg, played a fortnight ago at Crown City Campus Kavule, saw St. Lawrence earn a two-goal advantage but Twaha believes they can do the impossible at home. “We are ready to hustle as men and make sure we come up with a positive result and progress to the semifinal at the end of the day,” Twaha said.

“The first leg was a good game but we committed some mistakes that St. Lawrence took advantage off. But we have been training hard for the last two weeks and we are confident of making our fans happy,” Twaha added.

For St. Lawrence captain Ibrahim Kasule the tie is not yet over and they will need to be alert to avoid any upsets.

“We are ready for the game and shall need to be alert. We won by two goals and if we are not careful maybe they can win by three. So we cannot sit back and think that we have already won,” Kasule said

Last season St. Lawrence edged YMCA 3-2 on aggregate at this stage of the competition to progress to the semifinals despite eventually finishing third.
