Ms Abenakyo beat Miss Argentina to get a place in the final top 30 for Miss World 2018.

She was eloquent and passionate as she talked about her Beauty with a Purpose project fighting teenage pregnancies Uganda. She wowed all the three judges who voted for her.
“Well done Uganda. You are doing it,” one of the judges said after Ms Abenakyo’s presentation.

The 22-year-old was speechless for a while before finding the words to say. “This is the very first time Uganda is making it to top 30. I am very humbled,’ she said, receiving immense applause from the audience.

After a captivating finale of the Head to Head challenge, a shortlist of 20 candidates took to the stage with 90 seconds to present to a panel of judges the work they are doing in their home countries to support Beauty with a Purpose.

The three judges are current Miss World 2017 title holder Manushi Chhillar (India), and former Miss Worlds Meghan Young (Philippines, 2013) and Stephanie Del Valle (Puerto Rico, 2016).

The 68th edition of Miss World is taking place in Sanya, China.
