People are evacuated as a gunfight was underway following a blast at a hotel and office complex in Nairobi on January 15, 2019. A blast at the DusitD2 compound, which includes a hotel and several office buildings housing international companies, was heard from AFP's offices some five kilometres (three miles) away. The Al-Shabaab Islamist group in Somalia claimed responsibility for the attack, according to the SITE Intelligence Group which monitors jihadist activities.
