What you need to know:

  • This project intends to improve the material resources of seed banks and goat banks, educational expertise, and diversify the association’s income by running a goat farm.

Angels’ Haven and Kasenda farmers in Kabarole District have worked together for several years to develop Kasenda Sub County and Town Council. Particularly, Angels’ Haven has been carrying out “Assisting Self-Standing Project through Empowering Farmers’ Association in Kasenda” through the KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) Public-Private Partnership Program since 2022.

This project intends to improve the material resources of seed banks and goat banks, educational expertise, and diversify the association’s income by running a goat farm. Also, it provides a training program to strengthen the accountability of association leaders and improve the awareness of association members, which contributes to active participation.

The association leadership has shown a huge commitment to our activities including establishment of the association’s goat farms. The goat farms will generate additional income which makes the driving force behind regional development and self-support.

The most encouraging point about this project is that all activities have been progressing through mutual contribution based on ownership rather than one-sided support activities. It makes this project more sustainable and strengthens the association’s capacity for Kasenda Sub County and Town Council.
