MTN Uganda Bids Farewell to Ex CMO Somdev Sen in a Memorable Celebration

Last week, MTN Uganda hosted a heartfelt farewell party at Naguru Skyz Hotel, Kampala, to honor outgoing Chief Marketing Officer Somdev Sen, popularly referred to as Som by friends and colleagues. The event, led by comedian Salvador, was attended by MTN’s Exco team, MTN Staff, business partners, agencies, and friends

The evening was filled with tributes, from colleagues celebrating his remarkable impact on MTN Uganda’s brand and market position.

Various speakers praised Somdev’s contributions, highlighting his leadership in reviving Uganda’s love for football and spearheading impactful campaigns such as Osmosis, MoMo Nyabo, and Freedom Bundles among others.

Somdev was also praised for his ability to connect with every team member, from support staff to executives, bringing issues to the forefront and driving the company’s growth.

His passion for sports, music, photography, and appreciation for life’s finer details left a lasting impression on the team at MTN Uganda. Many thoughtful gifts reflecting his dynamic personality were handed over to him, in what was bitter-sweet moments that punctuated the night full of great music, food, drink and merrymaking.
