My car releases squeaky sounds from the bonnet

When the serpentine belts develop cracks due to age or wear, they will squeak as they pull the power consumer.

I recently replaced my car serpentine belt on a mechanic’s recommendation but I still have squeaky sounds from the bonnet. Changing the belt was supposed to solve the problem. What else should I do or what should I have done?

Hello, you need to have the engine pulleys and and taper roller bearings inspected. Squeaking sounds in an engine are usually caused by worn out rotating components such as engine serpentine belts, taper rollers or pulley bearings. When the serpentine belts develop cracks due to age or wear, they will squeak as they pull the power consumer. Occasionally, the squeak may be caused by worn out belt pulleys or taper bearings.
