Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames on at Watoto Church

Almost similar to a scene from the Movie Left Behind, Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames is a play that portrays life after death. Despite the seriousness of the subject matter, it has a good dosage of laughter which helps the idea behind it easy to digest.
The scenes are so real and this is what makes it a great play. Lucifer’s angels are as frightening as the tales we have heard about them since childhood and heaven is pleasant.
Gary M. Skinner, a pastor and the founder of Watoto Ministeries says, “Over time this drama has been an unparalleled evangelical tool in placing the jewel of a soul in the Christ’s crown and as such has aided numerous people in making the serious decision of where they will spend eternity.”
This drama has been performed around the globe for over 45 years and was last performed in Kampala in 2008. Though with the same subject, the plots are local and made relevant to the times. In this year’s drama, the songs and references to things happening in current day to day life help the point hit home instantly.
The drama will start showing today and will go on till Sunday March 4. Shows are at 12pm, 2pm, 5pm and 7pm and on Sunday they are at 8am, 10am, 12am and 2pm. To attend you need a ticket and these are available at Power FM and Watoto Church central reception free of charge.
