The partnership, officially unveiled at Entebbe Botanical Gardens, marks a strategic move to blend art, education, and community engagement in addressing pressing issues affecting Uganda’s youth

Youth advocacy organization Reach a Hand Uganda (RAHU) has teamed up with Ugandan music sensation Bash Luks in an edutainment campaign aimed at inspiring and empowering young people across the country.

The partnership, officially unveiled at Entebbe Botanical Gardens, marks a strategic move to blend art, education, and community engagement in addressing pressing issues affecting Uganda’s youth, such as sexual and reproductive health, mental wellness, self-esteem, and life skills.

Speaking at the launch, Bash Luks highlighted the transformative potential of creativity in driving social change.

“Art has the power to influence change and inform communities,” he said. “We have a duty to use our platforms to uplift, educate, and guide the youth toward better choices and brighter futures.”

Reach a Hand Uganda, which has built a strong reputation for championing youth health and education, welcomed the collaboration, noting that it aligns with their mission to make learning relatable and impactful.

“Edutainment allows us to meet young people where they are—through music, storytelling, and interactive experiences,” a representative from the organization stated.

The campaign will roll out a series of interactive activities including music performances, youth workshops, school outreach visits, and community events. Each activation will be infused with vital messages on self-awareness, reproductive health, and resilience-building, ensuring that young participants walk away not only entertained but also informed and inspired.

This initiative reflects a growing trend in Uganda and beyond—leveraging culture and entertainment as powerful tools for education and empowerment. By uniting the creative influence of Bash Luks with the grassroots experience of Reach a Hand Uganda, the campaign is poised to make a lasting impact on the next generation.
