Women, life is too short to date a stingy man

We do not tell our hearts who to love but if there is one person that does not deserve love is a penny-pinching man. Lately, if a woman brings up a topic involving money she will immediately be labelled a ‘gold digger’ but it is only a stingy man who weeps over money he spends on his woman.
Two weeks ago, I overheard a conversation of a frustrated woman at the hospital. “If you feel like I am a burden to you, why don’t you tell me to leave? We have been married for three years but you always find an excuse not to support me financially. You asked me to give-up my job to raise the children but I cannot keep begging you for money like I am a slave. What do you want us to eat tonight? My mother comes to take care of me and your child but you cannot even buy her dinner?”
“But there is food at home,” he shyly replied as he noticed other people were listening.
“Should I leave my baby in a hospital and go home to make dinner?” She burst out loudly without even caring who was listening. You could tell that she had stomached too much frustration.
“I have heard enough. If you cannot take care of me then I would rather leave without you. Do not come back for us, I will leave with my mom when they discharge us,” She stood up to walk. Tears were rolling down her cheeks. She did not care who was looking.
“Wait…” her husband shouted as he followed her but she kept a deaf ear and she headed for the maternity/delivery ward. The husband ran and caught up with her, he gave her some money but the wife looked at it then threw it in his face. She continued walking.
Apparently, the woman had gone into early labour causing her to deliver a premature baby who was kept in ICU. The woman’s mother had come to help out her daughter but to stay in hospital for all those days, she needed to have some money with her for meals at least but her husband had not given her a dime.
At first I pitied the man hoping that he was poor but after seeing the car he was driving. My jaws dropped. How can you drive a BMW but cannot feed your wife?
Love is all about giving love, time, finances and much more. Even the bible says: “For God so loved the world that He gave…” If you are not ready to share your life and money with your partner then stay single because surely stingy men make terrible husbands.
