I am keeping jewellery for my future wedding

What you need to know:

When I started my fashion jewellery line, one of my biggest inspirations for my creations was Princess Diana, so much so that an entire collection had a connection with her jewels.

My daily routine begins with…

Prayer and meditation. The first thing I do in the morning is to be grateful to God for letting me see another day. Then I sit in meditation, quiet my mind and listen to my soul for half an hour.

My daily motivation comes from

My goals. The desire to achieve my life’s goals keeps me motivated.

When choosing an outfit, I consider

Mood and the days’ activities. My activities range from corporate meetings, shopping for weddings, events and parties for which I am a service provider, doing make-up on brides, film sets or photoshoots, cake deliveries and decorating. So, the activities of the day determine my outfits.

The priciest item in my wardrobe is my

Pearl jewellery set that I purchased for my future marriage ceremony. While I may never know when I will get married, I definitely know the jewellery I will wear.

When getting ready, I spend more time on

Choosing the shoes to wear. Being a shoe fanatic, I often take a lot of time deciding what shoes to wear. Sometimes, I am also left undecided because of having multiple programmes in a day.

My comfort food option is…

A quick healthy salad.

I’m currently obsessed with...

Spiritual awakening. For a couple of years now, I picked interest in spiritual enlightenment and discovery of truths about the world, religion, politics that could be used to improve the lives of human kind.

The one item in my wardrobe thatI can’t let go of is...

My Princess Diana inspired pearl choker. When I started my fashion jewellery line, one of my biggest inspirations for my creations was Princess Diana, so much so that an entire collection had a connection with her jewels. Her famous seven strand choker with a sapphire and diamond centre piece has always been my favourite. I got myself a copy which I treasure so much.

A good make-up look should include...

Primer and lashes. Primer creates a smooth base for the face beat, neutralises oily areas and makes the make-up last longer. Lashes, whether thin or thick, long or short, enhance the make-up look by making eyes pop. A face beat without lashes always looks incomplete.

A must have in my hand bag is…

Perfume and wipes. Smelling good all the time gives me positive vibes all day. Wipes are a must because I am obsessed with cleaning my hands all the time and hygienic cleaning of surfaces since I am usually on the move.

Make-up trend I can’t wait to see go...

Eyebrow tattooing. Never have I ever seen a makeup trend so wrong like eyebrow tattooing, especially where they shave off all eyebrows and put a tattoo. Besides creating injury and scarring, it’s not flexible considering ever-changing trends of eyebrow shapes and sizes. It also poses healthy risks such as tetanus, hepatitis B & C, inflammation, skin allergies and so on.

The most popular Ugandan designer brand in my closet is...

Kais Divo Collection by Kaijuka Abbas. Having worked together for many years on various projects, he understands my taste and body type. It is easier for him to make or pick out something perfect for me.

Cardi B or Nicki Minaj?

None. I am more of a classical music fan. I am into Country, Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Jazz, Rock & Roll, a bit of Pop and largely anything vintage.

My make-up list...

Lipstick lashes
